Shoo is an adaptation of an Essay by Charles Meier, based on his experiences as a private contractor in Iraq. It was intended for inclusion in an anthology that was never completed, so we eventually published it on our site rather than let it sit around collecting digital dust.

What'd I Miss is a comic strip by R. Alan Brooks and Cori Redford that runs in the Colorado Sun. It's the story of Myra, a woman who has just awoken from a thirty-year coma. She tries to make sense of the strange world she finds herself in with the help of her neighbor Ossie, a young Black man. Alan and Cori were kind enough to let us run a few pages of it during one of our off weeks. You can find more on The Colorado Sun's site and on Facebook.
