We briefly met Privates Rawls, Cummins, and Beauchamp back on page 329, and it’s about time we got to know them a bit better.

Today in the US, we honor Martin Luther King Jr., one of greatest figures in the Civil Rights movement. In recognition of the event, I’d like to recommend the graphic novel trilogy March, by Congressman John Lewis, who was himself a civil rights crusader who worked side-by-side with Dr. King. It’s a powerful story, and beautifully presented by Rep. Lewis and his collaborators, co-writer Andrew Aidin and artist Nate Powell. You can get it on Amazon, or from your local book or comics store.

If you can’t fly, then run.
If you can’t run, then walk.
If you can’t walk, then crawl,
But by all means, keep moving.
–Martin Luther King Jr.
