Now THAT is really nonsensical historical-revisionism. IRL, the Nazi Germans (just like the Soviet Russkis, Brits, Americans…) smoked like chimneys.

The comment about smoking was inspired by the fact that the Nazis ran the first anti-smoking campaign, which had had a substantial impact towards the end of the war. Granted, there was still plenty of smoking being done, but Germany did consume significantly fewer cigarettes per capita than other countries. Also, Mark’s statement was less about smoking, and more about letting Hartmann know that Mark knew he was a Nazi (and by extension, letting readers know, since this information had not yet been revealed).

I’m really diggin’ panel 5! Love that one sliver of light…

Thanks, Denver. Panel 5 is one of those rare ones that turned out just like I pictured it in my mind’s eye.

Wait a sec…
There is a “<" missing at panel 3.
Nice work anyway. As usual :3

Hmm. I think there was no opening translation bracket in panel 3 because there was no closing one in panel 2. This was probably a single piece of dialogue that was split up. But thanks for pointing it out, and thanks for the kind words, Yoyo!

Thanks, Rico! Wait til you see page 42! I love every page, of course, but that one turned out especially well. Also, thanks for spreading the word!

So Haartman’s a Nazi, eh?
http://www.thespecialistscomic.com Shawn
Well, he has been accused of being one, at least. We’ll find out more next week. (Also, come back tomorrow for a preview image from next week’s page.)
