Good catch, Tory. There is some stuff coming up in the next couple of pages that will shed a little light on the situation. And, I could probably come up with a few other justifications, but to be honest, that display case is probably too well-stocked.
We try to be as historically accurate as possible, but there will inevitably be details like this that get past us.

Thanks to the keen eye of Antiquated Tory, we’ve updated this page, and the last one, to turn a suspiciously well-stocked butcher shop into an empty, defunct one, which was more likely in occupied France.
We try very hard to get historical details right, but we will, of course, make mistakes. In this case, we felt that the detail was important enough to revise a couple of pages. Generally, though, our time will be better spent trying to prevent future mistakes, rather than fixing existing ones.
