Sounds like someone is getting a bit big for his britches. I wonder what Herr Hitler would have to say about this “I am the Reich” business…
Evil. It’s a growth industry.
Probably has ‘The Reich’ signed by hilter under his hat for occasions such as these.
But wouldn’t that mean the Aryan serves…the Baron’s hat…?
Truly, not a hat to be trifled with.
Baron Crossbones, I have a feeling that I know how this will go… so you might want to reserve a plane ticket to Argentina or Brazil. I heard those become popular destinations for Nazis after the War.
What would Herr Hitler have to say? Unless he’s got some killer superpowers of his own, I’ll wager very little.
See, this is what you get when you set up a regime based on “the strong deserve to rule over the weak.” Someone comes along stronger than you are, and you’re squat out of luck–much like Herr Doktor.
Actually, it was more of a “Bankers don’t deserve to live!” Really. And it was popularized by washed up former architects. National Socialist culture was weird.
Well, to my mind the whole “strong rule the weak” thing is common to all totalitarian regimes, whether they’re National Socialist, Soviet Socialist, Fascist, Monarchist, or what have you. The guy who sets it up thinks he’s the strongest, then somebody stronger comes along, and what happens, happens.
I’m pretty sure if someone empties a luger into the baron’s head when he not expecting it his little magic ball isn’t gonna put his brain back in his head. Besides Hitler greatest ability wasn’t his leadership but his ability to sway and motivate people and the baron isn’t exactly….good with people so he problebly won’t kill big H
For some reason, I just read the Baron’s dialogue in Bane’s voice (from The Dark Knight Rises). It just seems to fit somehow, even though it’s not particularly German.
*Insert witty reply*.
Yes, it should be “whom”. If it were any other character talking (except maybe Kate), I’d shrug that off as common usage, but for the Baron, proper grammar is more appropriate, so perhaps I’ll see if Al will correct that for me. Good catch, Nonny!
I’m really surprised at how much like a mashed spider Magda’s swastika looks when tipped at an angle like that.
And unless Hartmann did something to the timer, isn’t it about time for a really big Kaboomy?
Keep in mind that there’s a lot of stuff that’s kind of happening simultaneously. But yes, a big kaboomy is eminent!
An eminent kaboomy is imminent? Excellent!
I’m getting Judge Dredd flashbacks.
“You have betrayed the Reich!”
I AM THE REICH.
I think it rather likely that the Baron is riding a bit high and about to collide with reality.
Wondering for some time now…… why is the baron masked? Looks cool and all but what is he hiding? Did the orb do something to his looks?
It goes to show that grade school nicknames never die.
Gee, someone stop sending Baron these Captain America comics about Hydra, it’s giving him ideas.
“before I direct you to your maker” hm. More than one way to read that. No doubt intended that way. I wonder if the arian is a match for the baron. Magic killer vs almost indestructible.
I doubt it. Aryan is probably comparable to Capt. Jensen, and it really is more thematically appropriate to have Jewish superscience kill the Nazis. Even the Ghostapo.
Can’t shake the feeling that the Aryan is about to curb-stomp the doctor next page.
What? Just because he’s OOZING over-confidence?
More like : he looked pretty angry when waltzing through the door and was not relieved a bit to see other nazis. His prancy pony stance in panel 7 looks more like general bitchiness. Dunno if it is appropriate to notice this concerning this web comic : serving the Führer and serving the Reich are two very different things even if it doesn’t look this way.
He wants to be the Red Fuhrer of the Third Reich. He really wants an empire to make in his own image.
“I serve The Reich”
It’s a cook book!
