As I said before, this scene kind of got away from me. What was originally supposed to be three or four pages turned into seven. I wish I could go back and tighten it up a bit, but it did yielded some good stuff. I like the way the interplay between Max and Mark turned out.
Also, I love the way Al drew the last three panels. He completely nailed that moment! (However, as I look at it now, I realize that it needs a Wonder Years-style narration: “I learned a lot that Winter… Who knew a Question Mark would have all the answers?”)
