Denver Comic Con

Fort Collins Comic Con (tentative)
August 26 - 27, 2017
We’re going to take a few weeks off as we gear up for Chapter 5. But I’ll try to write a blog post or two, including another installment of the Geek Chorus. See you soon!
Looking forward to the next chapter. There certainly has been quite the suspensful cliffhanger ending for the last chapter. Keep up the good work! 😀
Thanks for the encouragement, GuderianKrieg! That means a lot.
Enjoy the break. You guys have earned it, this chapter was great read!
Thanks, John! We’re so glad you enjoyed it.
See you when you get back. 🙂
By the way, what ever happened to that mouse. ^^
Well, I don’t want to spoil anything. Chapter 5 is primarily about that mouse.
I have to say, I appreciate the characterful scene-setting.
The Adventures of Vroomfondel will be much more satisfying now we’re aware of so many other characters, their lives, hopes and dreams – There’ll be so much more subtext to the main character’s interactions with the supporting cast.
Speaking of Vessels. Will we see a version of the Bismarck anytime in this?
Why would we? This story takes place well after 1941 when the Bismarck was sunk. We may, however, see (or at least hear mention of) the H-Class Battleships that were proposed as successors to Bismarck and Tirpitz.
We don’t have any specific plans for naval vessels at this point, but you never know.
Nooooo! What can i POSSIBLY spend my time on now? What will i DO while you have a break from making comics? Enjoy your breaks, guys! Feel free to come back early!
Thanks, Daniel! 🙂
Welp, back to reading the archives. Just wondering, are the Specialists the only Allied response team? I have this dream of there being a ton of different teams, different nations and skills, with the Specialists being the figureheads. Maybe not at this point in the war, but maybe in a few years now the Ubermensch are on the warpath.
Yes, the Specialists are the only country with a super-soldier program, outside of Germany. The in-story reasoning is that physical isolation and wealth allowed the US to develop the technology to create supers-soldiers. The more meta reason is that we wanted to tell a story about a team of extraordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. If they were just one of many teams of super-soldiers, they wouldn’t be as unique.
Will you be at Denver Comic Con? If so, how much for signed prints (if available)?
Yes, we will be at DCC! We haven’t gotten our final, official table assignment yet, but when we do, we’ll post it here.
We’ll have our chapter books for $10 each. We also have propaganda posters for $5 each. And signatures are always free!
Hope to see you there!
What a wonderful series you have created.
Fantastic characters located in my favorite period of heroic history.
Your and development of them.
Your selection of heroic types and the unsettled problems each has is fantastic. It has been 15 years since I’ve enjoyed a comic this much.
So thank you for ask your hard work.
Thank you for not shying away from threat periods issues.
…and hopefully thank you for the heroes these characters can become.
I am seriously sad about the loss of Ox. Probably one of my favorite supporting characters.
But it is war and his loss in the series only reflects the reality of the war they are fighting.
I can’t give you guys enough praise.
As strange as this sounds… thanks for giving comics back to me.
Thank you so much for the kind words! They really mean a lot. This comic is a huge effort for Al and me, and comments like yours make it all worthwhile!
