Next week we introduce the last of The Specialists. Click below for a sneak peek.
We’ve installed a new comment system called Disqus, which comes with lots of bells and whistles. It will allow you to log in using your Facebook, Twitter, or Google accounts if you want (though you can still just enter your name and email as a “guest,” as usual). It also allows you to “like” a particular page or a particular comment.
We’ll probably be tinkering with settings for a week or so until we figure out how everything works. Also, all of the old comments are queued up to be imported into the new system, so if your comments are missing, they should be back soon.
Friend of the site (and my personal friend) Cameron Hays did us the great honor of writing a song about this week’s new character, Lady liberty. This song is modeled after the romantic crooners of the 1940s and it is awesome! The lyrics are below, and you can also see the sheet music and listen to the melody (midi piano with clarinet standing in for the vocals). Cameron says he would have liked to provide a recording with vocals, but that the song is out of his range. If anyone out there wants to take a crack at it, we’d love to hear it!
If you like gothy alt/prog rock, check out Cameron’s band, Choke the Word. (Lyrics after the break.)
