Kickstarter Spotlight: Oilcan Drive

Face front troops! I’d like to take a quick opportunity to draw your attention to a Kickstarter for a fellow webcomic that I enjoy: OilCan Drive. Shawn and I had the pleasure of participating on a webcomic panel at Denver Comic Con this year, and one of the other panelists was Sean Tiffany, the creator of OilCan Drive. After the con, I looked up his comic and was really impressed. I think you’ll be impressed too.

Sean describes it as “the story of a rock and roll band traveling through the wastelands of America in a stolen airship.” It’s a fun mix of sci-fi, rock & roll, and westerns, with really fantastic art and original music to top it all off.

I enjoy OilCan Drive and would love to see a fellow creator’s Kickstarter succeed. Please consider heading over and checking out the campaign. In addition to the comics, you’ll find a lot of nifty incentives for pledging. And while you’re at it, read through the comics at oilcandrive.com. If you like what you see and want to help support it, make a pledge. Support webcomics and independent creators!

Let the Voting Begin!

i-votedNovember is upon us, which means it’s time for another Top Web Comics voting campaign! Last year, you helped us get to #68 in the TWC ranks and I’m confident that this year you can get us even higher!

To vote, just click here (or the big red button to the right) and follow the instructions. It only takes a few seconds, and you don’t have to create an account. You can vote every day. The more votes we get, the higher we rise in the ranks, so please vote as often as you can!

We’ve also create a series of desktop wallpapers as voting incentives. There’s one available today, and we’ll have a new one each week, in two sizes.

We apologize in advance for all the reminders we’ll give you throughout the month, but we promise not to bother you the rest of the year!
