We’re partnering with Comic Creators for Freedom to help raise money for Love146, an organization dedicated to ending human trafficking and aiding its victims. Before we got involved with CCF, I didn’t know much about human trafficking, and I knew nothing about Love146. This video tells the story of how Love146 came to be. It’s not a pleasant story, but it’s important to understand just how big and how tragic this problem is.
We’re off to a good start in our fundraising campaign, but we have a ways to go. If you can spare a few dollars, please consider donating. You’ll be helping a great cause, and you’ll get some cool rewards too.
Next week, another team member takes a turn in Hightower’s hotseat. Preview below.

Robin Childs is an incredibly passionate and hard-working comic creator. She was responsible for bringing together the Webcomic Pioneers, she’s a contributor to the Webcomic Alliance, and she churns out two pages of her comic, LeyLines, every week.
LeyLines is about three siblings trying to unravel the mystery of their mother’s death in a staggeringly-detailed fantasy world. The level of world-building reminds me of Tolkien’s Middle Earth, even down to the development of new languages! The pseudo-Asian aesthetic is reminiscent of Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you’re a fan of either of those, you should definitely give LeyLines a look.
Robin has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of the third volume of LeyLines. Check it out, and if you like what you see, consider backing the project. Robin has created a pledge level for any budget, and has a variety of extras available as well.
