You do realize, ?, that the Nuremberg Defense got its name from the place where it was rejected — after this war? That Max could get into serious trouble now?
Yes indeed. As soon as they find a replacement for Max, he’d be in serious trouble.
At the moment, their jobs consist of acting as propaganda. I’m sure some cheap FX will let them replace him, especially as they haven’t presented him as one of their champions.
I think that only applies to soldiers following orders, or not. Max is just a civilian in military employ – unless his failure to follow orders is of a magnitude that it could be construed as treason (which seems unlikely for Max) the worst that should happen to a civilian employee would be that he would get fired.
