The Specialists

R. Alan Brooks is a writer, rapper, teacher, podcaster, and graphic novelist from the Denver area. (A while back, he interviewed me on his podcast, Motherf**ker in a Cape.) Alan has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for his new graphic novel, Anguish Garden. It’s a sci-fi story about one woman’s effort to leave the racist organization she is a part of. It’s an allegory for white supremacy, and all too relevant today. Alan received death threats after a write-up in a local newspaper last month. Check out the campaign, and consider backing it!
