Me too (’71). I think that perhaps our generation grew up in that immediate post-Vietnam era where everyone was sick of war and any interest in it, even historically, was looked down on. Just a guess. Though, I did meet a few folks in back college who were WW2 and/or U.S Civil War buffs, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who was a WW1 buff. I guess that’s sort of the “forgotten war”.
