In reply to Jason Moon. There were a lot of rockets like this in the classic Looney Toons. I think Duck Dodgers' ship looked a lot like the Baron's "Mind Mizzile".

Hee, hee,you did notice that I used the phrase “…quite often…” to separate you from the riff-raff. ^^

This page is pretty nuanced compared to some of the heavy-handed stuff I’ve seen.

Great shades of “Curses! Foiled again!” (He probably tied her to a railroad track in an earlier “adventure”. Y’know, because that always works)

It is driving me nuts, but I have seen that rocket style before in an old Bugs Bunny cartoon, or some similar show. I’d search for it on YouTube, but the last time I did the search engine choked.

If this were any other villain, he’d probably say “Zounds!” about something, However, the reader would probably wonder “‘Sounds’? Why the hell did that nefarious naybob say that?”(Of course, it isn’t a TRUE 1940’s comic until somebody says “Jeepers!” about something)

Ooh, he’s just chomping at the bit to call someone a dolt! You know he wants to. 🙂
