Thanks, Guardian7! Ox’s death is something that’s been planned for quite a while. We’ve planned out all of the characters’ dea– I mean, we’ve planned out all of the important plot points.

I feel sorry for Max… I think he still had a very idealistic and heroic view of how things were going to go.

It turned into hell in a handbasket quickly.

Then once he had done what he did, the utter horror of it drained that side away,

Hopefully Ox’s example of still being idealistic in his own way… especially with and around Max, rubbed off and Max can recapture a bit of what the more experienced Ox could leave as a legacy. Don’t give up and possibly keep hope alive.

Though I do like how it captures war, your gonna be hard pressed to fill that void that Ox left.

Was it a hard decision to have him die? Or was it planned from the beginning?

Its those small touches of Jewishness that make the comic dear to me.
For those who do not know, the Jewish tradition is to place small rocks on tombstones instead of flowers. Stones represent something that lasts forever as the soul does, as opposed to flowers that die after a short time
