In reply to Pickerel. Hopefully, though, he ends up closer to a Spark. And realizes that mass producing mecha to fight the Nazis is probably a better idea than going into combat himself. Probably not that sort of comic, though.

I would think Henry to be more Asuka-like in having the over-the-top self-portrayal hiding a fragile and insecure psyche. I see Max as too outgoing and stable to really be Shinji-like… he is just now in a delicate situation. But I can’t say that such situations might not make him more Shinji-like in time… I always saw Shinji as sort of shell-shocked by life.
