Hey everybody, your pal Al here. I’d like to take an opportunity to share a special preview with you. As you may or may not know, we collected Chapter 1 and printed up a bunch of copies to take with us to last year’s Denver Comic Con. Well, we wrapped up Chapter 2 not long ago, and in preparation for collecting and printing it, I’ve been working on a cover. Would you–our faithful readers–like to get a glimpse of how it’s shaping up?

Yes indeed, the cover for Chapter 2 features none other than Luke Jansen, aka Captain Victory. When Shawn and I were first discussing ideas for the cover, one of the sketches I did featured Luke on his own, in the midst of the German prison camp. We agreed pretty quickly that such a design would be good since the Battle of Marigny features so prominently in the chapter.

I started the actual drawing 4 times, and erased it completely 4 times. On the fifth attempt, I got something I’m reasonably happy with. Now that it’s scanned in, cleaned up and added in to the overall cover design, it’s on to coloring. Would you like to see the finished version once I’m done?  Let me know in the comments. Thanks!
